It’s the time of the year when cowboys and country fans gather in Las Vegas to witness bull riding stars, multitude of collegiate and professional athletic events, rodeo pageants, car shows and country music entertainment.

Johnny Cash first took interest in performing in prison while serving in the United States Air Force Security Service. After Folsom Prison Blues release, the song became popular among inmates, who would sometimes write to Cash, requesting him to perform at their prisons.

In 1995 ‘Any Man of Mine’ blew up in a way a song from a country female hadn’t done in years. Shania Twain, became an undeniable influence on future generations of country singers.

7. Patsy Cline- Crazy

Willie Nelson wrote this song shortly after moving to Nashville. He hadn’t made a name for himself at the time, and Cline struggled with his original demo for the song. However, Patsy Cline eventually cut the beautiful version we know today, taking it to No. 2 on the country charts in 1961.

8. Carrie Underwood- Before He Cheats

‘American Idol’ introduced Carrie Underwood to music listeners. Before He Cheats,

her second No. 1 country single in 2006 and fueled the album to sell more than seven million copies.

9.Willie Nelson- Always On My Mind

Willie Nelson is one of the most well-known country musicians of his time.

In 1998, Nelson made ‘Always on My Mind’ even sweeter when he and Johnny Cash performed an unforgettable duet of this classic song.

10. Jimmy Buffett- Margaritaville

Buffet has always loved sailing, and when this song became a hit, he was thrilled because he could buy his own boat. He has said that even if he was a one hit wonder, he would have been happy with his boat sailing around the islands. He just didn’t buy the boat, but also he owns Margaritaville stores in Key West, New Orleans, Jamaica, Charleston, and Orlando.
